Sales Manager Flexibles

Place to be

At Amcor, we unlock possibilities through our innovative and responsible packaging solutions that benefit our customers, our people, and our planet. Every second, more than 10,000 consumers around the world interact with our products and rely on us for safe access to food, medicine, and other essential goods. Today, Amcor is an international organisation empowering its 70,000 employees in over 140 countries. We are looking for a new colleague (m/f/x) in Belgium to focus on business development and sales management to join our Western European Sales team.

To do

Within the Sales department of Flexibles Amcor you will be responsible for the development of our entire product range within Belgium. Our customers operate across a wide range of industries, including peat, fertilizers, salt, cement, wood pellets, bedding, feed, food, chemicals, and more. They use our films either to bag their products or to protect their pallets.

As a Sales Manager, you will work closely with R&D to communicate market demands and drive new product developments and improvement initiatives. As part of a European sales team supporting five factories across Europe, you will frequently interact with colleagues from other sites and countries.

As part of the training plan, you will be expected to travel to our sites in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

You will directly report to the Sales Director.

Key Job Accountabilities

This role will involve both business development and the management of an existing customer base:

  • You will be challenged to grow our customer base, both in number and volume. Our target customers are an interesting mix of major corporate structures with local branches in Belgium and local SMEs who rely on our products to sell their products to their customer base.
  • At the same time, you will inherit an existing customer base, which you will manage in collaboration with our internal sales teams across different sites. You will be responsible for maintaining the current business while also identifying growth opportunities within this portfolio.

To have

  • You have experience in the packaging space and a solid understanding of industrial sales processes.
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business.
  • You are communicative and outgoing.
  • You have a talent for opening doors and building new commercial relationships from scratch, while also being capable of managing long-term customer relationships.
  • You work independently, accurately and take initiative.
  • You are able to work in a matrix structure, being a team player.
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
  • The job is focused on Belgium (Flanders & Wallonia) but may require some travel within Europe from time to time.

In return

A varied and challenging role with an attractive salary package, complemented by fringe benefits such as meal vouchers, group and hospitalisation insurance, and both collective and individual bonuses (cafeteria plan). In addition, we offer flexible working hours, at least 32 vacation days, and the possibility of teleworking or working from our sites in Roeselare or Zele. You’ll be joining a dynamic multinational organisation with an excellent working atmosphere, where significant resources are invested in both employees and equipment. You will join a global leader in packaging solutions, with industry-leading innovation capabilities, global scale and technical expertise.
